| Stone Ridge is almost at the geographical center of Ulster County (some of us believe it to be the center in all regards). The hamlet is a subset of the Town of Marbletown. The hamlet is located at the top of a limestone ridge that gives reason for its name as well as contribution to the historic favorable to travel and settlement. Stone Ridge NY is one of the many places in Ulster County that retains authentic examples of architecture from each phase of its historic growth. The district has maintained its overall setting, and streetscape and has endured as a prime illustration of rural eighteenth century village growth. |
